A customer service representative switched my phone number from a business account to a prepaid account by temporarily opening a postpaid account. I was told I wouldn’t need to pay for this temporary postpaid account. I contacted Verizon via chat and over the phone more than twice and I thought this was resolved. Six months later I have a letter from a collection agency for this bill. I am wondering if it affects my credit score if Verizon would be liable?

I appreciate you waiting while I looked that up. You would need to contact the collection agency in regard to anything having to do with that account.
