Hello - I’m trying to understand if Verizon has to honor promotions told to consumers during phone sales. In my case, a representative offered me a promotional credit, however, I’m not seeing that promotion on my bill. When I called in, all the representative could tell me was “it’s not documented in your notes”. When I asked for the recording of my call with the sales representative, I was told they couldn’t review the recording and that those were for quality control purposes and training. Who is accountable for these types of tactics?

This exact thing happened to me today, 8/26/2023. I got a promotional offer and was informed of the details. Phone arrives and I am charged full price. It took 4 hours on the phone and at the corporate store to get it to the promotional offer. Also, I was told there was no contract, but the deception is what they consider a "contract" and how they enforce it. They use deceptive language and call the "contract" an "agreement", seemingly absolving themselves from any and all responsibility. I told them that their rep assured me over and over to different ways of asking the same question that there would be no "contract". Well, there is. They just simply call it an agreement. All in all, I will be paying more through this agreement than I would if I would have just purchased a new phone from Apple.

I also spent 3 hours on line with an agent, was quoted a plan. I was simply trying to add a phone line to my account switching from Spectrum to Verizon. It should not be that hard. Had to make two additional trips to Local Verizon store. Was charged a $35 activation fee for a temporary number while existing number switched over. The line access fees were significantly higher than what I was told. They signed me up for the protection plan without my consent. My military discount and autopsy disco unts were not applied. I am on auto pay and still got a late notice. Unacceptable!

- $67 per month bill is now$280. I just spent another two hours on the chat with an agent and still don't know if these multiple issues are resolved. Unbelievable. I have been a Verizon customer for years. Looking to change if I can't get this resolved.
