I opened an account with verzion last year (~10 months ago), while creating my account the created some dummy numbers/under some shadow account. To port, one those dummy numbers under the shadow account was never closed due to verizon's fault.
It was sent to collection, I never knew about that account until it was sent to collection. I had tried to call verizon and collection agency, but to no avail. I kept getting tossed around to different departments. This is a night mare for me with credit score hurting like a lot (~160 points down). I have been paying my bills regularly. And this is very bad experience from verizon. Please help me getting this resolved soon.

I have opened an account with verizon ~10months ago. While opening the account and porting my numbers, verzion created some dummy numbers and a shadow account. Which was then ported to my actual account.
Cut to 1 month back, I get credit collection for around ~1006 dollars. For an account that I was not aware of and never have, I have been regularly paying my own account. I have called verizon all centers and they have been tossing me around like aanything between different departments. I have also called the collection agency and showed them my bill and account that I'm using. and I have no relation with the account they're asking me money for. This is hurting my credit score like anything and they're not providing any resolution for me other than just asking me to pay all the amount upfront.
Please help me out here, as i'm tired talking to different people and wasted a lot of time already.

We're sorry to hear about that collection account. The last thing we want is for you to keep struggling with that mark on your credit report. We'll be sending you a Private Note with more information.
