15 YEAR VERIZON CUSTOMER

I'm 45 years old and have dealt with a lot of bad customer service in my life but I am officially blown away by Verizon. 

I ordered a new phone and added a line for my son. Quickly realized that they were going to charge me for the premium account to get the phone deal and had added on someone to come to my house and set up the phone so immediately cancelled the order and reordered a cheaper phone with the plan I wanted. Was told it was no problem canceling as the order had not shipped.

It is now 6 weeks later, I've been connected to at least 20 different customer service and still have not received a refund. Every one of them has said they have it in and it will be refunded very soon and nothing. The last few I stayed on the line until it was done but after an hour or more on the line I always get disconnected. SO frustrating. 

I've been a customer with Verizon for 15 years even though I'm pretty sure everyone else is cheaper.  Most likely heading to AT&T after this. I'd be embarrassed to be the person in charge of customer service.

What about disputing the charge with your bank?  I'm surprised you were billed for the first phone if you cancelled the order that quickly.
