So when I canceled my service (I was moving to new house with fiancé) I paid whatever was due and was told not only that it was paid in full but I should be getting a credit. I returned my boxes and remotes and was told I had a balance of something like $200.
I called and asked to make 2 payments one month apart the rep set me up. One payment went thru apparently the other didn’t unknown to me. I have credit report monitoring and got an alert that Verizon sent me to collections for $97 on Experian driving my score down 30 points !! I immediately logged in and paid the $97. So now within the last 4 days the other 2 credit bureaus popped up with the account in collections but show a $0 balance.
I filed disputes with all 3 but I’ve never had any luck with those. Can anyone point me on who to contact within Verizon to send a letter to them to remove these items. 5 years of building my credit back up to a 650 and now it’s all ruined over something showing a $0 balance bc I immediately paid it not knowing it was still out there. I’m upset and angry.
