I was shocked to see that in my bill 40$ per month were added for perks for Apple that we never asked for. We realized it in couple of months as we have auto pay setup (big disadvantage as you put faith in verizon) that bill is increased. I called to get my refund back and answer I was given that it is already 3 months and it is customer responsibility to check their bill each month and call us back to get it fixed if something is wrong. After much begging, only 50% was refunded and not sure why other 50% which is 60$ is not returned back as it was clear verizon's mistake. I am so anoyed with these long calls and unnecessary charges. Still repenting on these auto-pay set up as I used to check bill every month before I pay ๐

I had the same problem, but luckily, I caught it before I was charged! I recently had a repair to my phone and had to take it to apple for help as the Verizon store does not know a lot to help.
I got it fixed, and then a week later I checked my bill out of curiosity... somehow Home Device coverage was added to it at $25/mo.... Never agreed to that, never signed anything, never paid or even checked a terms and conditions box!!!
I call to complain and have it removed and all I was told by Manuel in "Alburquerque, NM" (who works from his home) is that it was a "mistake, and we are not perfect." ...
Good to know that Verizon can add random things to our bills without our permission and just call it a mistake, and it's our fault if we don't catch it right away because we should be checking our bills... When asked how it could have got on my bill the response was, "I don't know sir I was not at the point of transaction, but we can remove it for you." (Was I at point of transaction if I was unaware of any purchases?)
I know how to remove; I would just like to feel a peace of mind that random stuff will not appear on my bill without my approval and that I should be taken care of with a credit or something... Definitely makes you feel uneasy as and want to start searching for a new provider.
