At local stores

If you find yourself in a local Verizon store, exercise extreme caution. They may mislead you into thinking that part of the trade-in credit can be used for phone accessories, pressuring you to buy items in the store—like a $70 phone case and a $60 screen protector—while claiming these come with a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, this is far from accurate. The replacement credit actually applies to your bill, not the accessories, and the so-called lifetime warranty includes a $13 shipping fee for each exchange (which is nearly the price of a new phone film). I tried contacting customer service for assistance but received no help. I’ve been taken in by Verizon; please stay away from Verizon!!!
