I used to be verizon customer for past 5 years in someone else’s account. And I transferred my number out and created own account, this was May 25th.
On the same date, I enrolled autopay and paperless billing, got email confirmation that I’ll get $10 discount per line, total of $70 every month.
I got a bill at June 22nd, it does not have autopay discount applied. And, I figured out paperless&autopay was unenrolled.
I called the rep on June 25th, I explained my situation, and I explained them that I got email/receipt confirmation that I enrolled for autopay discount, the rep said he will credit one time $70 on my account for next bill, he confirmed that he was able to see my May 25th autopay confirmation, and this is why he credited my account.
But I don’t see on next bill estimate. Other people says it should show up as one time charge/credit on my next bill estimate, but I don’t see. I called rep again and they said they don’t see either, the other rep said this is how it supposed to work. I got two different answers, so I’m extremely confused now.
how should autopay discount work?

If you successfully enrolled in autopay, it should say that autopay is on when you're logged into My Verizon. You should also be able to review your past bills for up to 12 months at least, maybe 18, so can confirm if the autopay was actually processed in June. If the billing there was incorrect, then whomever you spoke with just gave you a one-time credit.
I've seen a number of threads recently where people have had trouble signing up for autopay. It looks like postpaid customers must either use Verizon Visa or a debit card before it works. Why the system no longer accepts other payment methods, don't know.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

We don't want you to have any problems with your autopay discount, and we'd love to take a closer look at what's going on. We're sending you a Private Message so we can better help. We also have this FAQ with more info about setting up automatic payments and getting your discount: https://www.verizon.com/support/auto-pay-faqs/
