Being charged for returned equipment

Long story short.  Cancelled service, received prepaid equipment return box.  Returned equipment in verizon prepaid box.  Being billed for equipment I returned, being told it was not returned.  Online chat with vz agent said it was received and bill will be fixed.  Still not fixed, 2nd online chat same story.  Phone call to financials says equipment not received.  Investigation ticket opened.  I get multiple calls a day for not paying the bill yet.  Prepaid box means vz has insured contents of box.  Tr# shows received by verizon.  1st online chat verified receiving all equipment.  Seems like big companies feel they can steal your money and harrass you to pay them the money they want  to steal from you.
