Bill

Every month my bill changes between $5 & $10. I don't know why because I have unlimited everything. I signed back up during the Hulu promotion so I'm suppose to get it and Disney and ESPN 2 for free with it. I also pay anywhere between $105 to $113. I don't know a single person that pays over $50 for their phone bills and that includes people with multiple lines. Everything unlimited. My bill was quoted around $87 but I didn't read my paperwork and it didn't include the taxes and extra stuff. So my fault. But I just don't know why they have to be so high when everyone I know pays under $50 for basically the same plan I have. Does anyone else pay this much. I only have one line. I feel like I'm paying for Hulu and the other two. I will continue to pay my outrageous bill because im happy with my service. In fact my whole family uses Verizon. I just don't understand why I am paying so much each month and why it changes. It would be nice to have one amount since I'm just using the same thing every month. Please someone explain to me why it changes and why it is so high. I would appreciate it so much. I don't know what to do other than continue to pay it each month. Thank you in advance!

We always want you to love our service. You can compare bills online and see a breakdown. Here's a great link on how to view your bill: https://www.verizon.com/support/view-bill-online-faqs/ -Joe

Have you compared the detailed PDF copy of your bills from month to month? The detailed version will every charge listed separately to compare between. Off hand, I would guess a discount isn't being applied consistently or how you are paying each month is triggering the discount to drop off and the next month it is added back somehow.

Also I would be over the moon if my cell bill was around $50 per month. Alas, it is not. It's closer to $95, but it does fluctuate slightly quarterly when the regulatory fees are adjusted. I also am working with just one line on the account so no multi line discounts can be applied.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

My guesses for why others you know are paying $50 or less for their cell phone service are:

-They have multiple lines on one account and therefore getting a price break for several lines; you are most likely paying the single line rate which is the highest

-They're on a very old legacy plan

-They're using a budget carrier (anyone other than Verizon, Blue Logo Place or Pink Logo Place)

-They're prepaid customers instead of postpaid

-They live outside the US

Being a postpaid customer on Verizon isn't cheap, but you get the best priority on the towers for paying more and more consistent data speeds.  I'm a working stiff, so can't afford even Unlimited Welcome, so I'm using a prepaid plan and live on my PC instead of my phone because my phone's data speeds vary wildly anywhere between "dial up internet" and "banging 5G" and my signal strength can fluctuate too when the network is busy.  The other 2 large carriers have a pretty similar pricing structure for their postpaid services, so you can't really get away from what you're paying unless you want to find several people to get lines with which you'd group together into one account, use one of the budget carriers, or switch to prepaid.  Or immigrate outside of the US and use the local carriers...I've got a dear friend who lives in Romania and he says cell phone service can be had for about $25 US/month.  Of course, he also says the large shopping mall nearby has 5G in only one particular area, and it's metered data, not unlimited...

The current plans being offered do not include the price of perks, and I believe Verizon charges $20/month for perks no matter what postpaid plan you pick.  Any time I've looked at the MyPlan options, it always asks to "choose your perks" and none of those are free.  And as mentioned in earlier posts, there's taxes and fees which are not included in the plan pricing either.
