Billing issues after discounts/promotions

I recently upgraded a phone and added a new line with a new device. I was promised that, after all the discounts/promotions are applied, the new monthly bill will not exceed $100/month. However, the first bill is over $270, and the next month's is over $130 and after that ever higher over $140. I called in numerous times and was promised again to adjust the monthly charge and bring it under $100 per month, and nothing has happened. Very disappointed and felt tricked into the "deals", only to find out now that my monthly charge is more than doubled!!

Your first bill is typically higher than usual, because there is a line activation fee of $35/line, plus promotions don't kick in right away as it takes 1-2 billing cycles for them to start based upon what I've read elsewhere. Taxes and fees are not included in the pricing quoted on the website. As for someone telling you the total bill was going to be under $100 for 2 lines, I'm wondering if they forgot to mention it doesn't include the taxes/fees or something else.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

No, I was told everything included it'd be under $100, otherwise I would have gone to T Mobile.

If you have it in writing, then you'll have to keep wrangling with Verizon because it sounds as if some promo didn't get applied. Just an FYI, discounts and promotions are NOT stackable. Sure hope a salesperson wasn't after more commission...

Sign in account, go to the next bill estimate, you will see next 2 months billing details, Call CS......if you are not happy. You have contract with Verizon, no place to go. Good luck.
