I need a good explanation as to why my bill doesn’t reduce after we pay off the phones

That is certainly very odd that your bill has not decreased since you paid off your phones, Winnower. We can certainly take a look into this and help figure out what is happening. Please be on the lookout for a private note from us.

When we got our two cell phones in 2017 the monthly rate never dropped only increased. Are we responsible to notify Verizon that we paid off our phones when payment period ends
