I upgraded my iPhone in October ‘23 online and did not like the phone. Returned it 5 days later. Verizon charged my credit card for $499.86 and although they confirmed they received the phone back, they could not figure out how to refund the card. They said I had to dispute the charge with the credit card company. So I did, and the money was returned to me on the credit card. Woke up this morning and Verizon has put that $499.86 as past due on my Verizon bill. Chatted with an agent and they “raised the request” to take that off my bill and it would be gone in 4-5 days. Then ended the chat with me. Didn’t even wait for me to respond. I’m not confident this charge will be removed. I’ve called 7-8 times and spoken with agents and had as many chat sessions on this billing error and each time they tell me 4-5 days it will be resolved. It never is. I’m ending my 25 years with Verizon if I don’t see this charge off my bill in 5 days.
