On 9/5/24 I had to cancel my account because I'm living on social security and could no longer afford the $124 a month for my Verizon account. I thought I had paid off my last bill and closed my connection to the website. Yesterday I get another bill for $80.14. Apparently, even though I thought I had closed my account, I still had an IPad connected to the account. Verizon should send some sort of contact to a departing customer  asking them why they are closing and to make sure that everything is included in the closing of the account. Because I had disconnected from the website, I could not access my account to double-check everything. The "discontinued mobile account" option did not work, as it would not accept my zip code and indicated that I had entered information that was not correct.  I was always satisfied with my service, but life changed and it was simply not affordable. Now, I feel a lack of transparency on Verizon's part in not making it clear that the account was not fully closed. This is simply wrong and not a good way to do business.
