I was a customer for many years and missed my last payment. When i noticed, I made a payment arrangement. I was still put into collections. After 3 calls and being transferred incorrectly, someone basically told me nothing they can do. Customer service at its finest.

The problem with this is the amount of time that elapsed. You state you missed your last payment and did not notice? Then made payment arraignments. Unfortunately your actions came about to late. Verizon must have tried over and over to contact you to get this final bill paid. After a time they just place it in collections.
