Can you use a Verizon Wireless gift card to pay your cable/internet bill?

Hi guys, really need some help. I received a $250 Verizon Wireless gift card for signing up with Verizon for cable and internet. Am I able to use this to put towards my bill? I'm not seeing any option to use this when I am trying to pay my bill. I keep trying to call Verizon and they just keep transferring me and randomly hanging up on me. I need to figure out how to use this. Can I not use a verizon wireless gift card to pay my cable/internet bill? If not, that is some horribly false advertising making it seem like I can when I signed up. Help!
