Cancelling troubles

Ordered a S23 Ultra from Samsung's website using Verizon as the carrier because unlocked wasn't available, and the unlocked phones came back in stock an hour later, and I couldn't cancel the Verizon order on Samsung's website. The phones came in at the same time, shipped the Verizon phone to Samsung for the return 2 days ago, and just now called Verizon to cancel.

I ordered the phone on 12/08/2023 and it is now 12/14/2023.

So, I called Verizon  and I explained the situation above. They said I had to pay for the service in which the phone was activated, which they discounted from $122.07 to $58.17. I understand the activation fee which is $35, which I will be glad to pay and I understand, but they're still charging me for part of my plan that I never used..

I don't know what to do, and I don't want to pay anything other than the activation fee.
