Cannot Claim or Use Verizon gift cards

Hello,

I signed up for Verizon at the end of June. I received 2 Verizon gift cards by email.

Like other people, I cannot add the value to my account, as I have autopay enabled. I called Verizon on several occasions, but they cannot resolve the issue.  It is frustrating, as I have spent hours on this.

I followed the steps on the support site https://www.verizon.com/support/gift-card-faqs/#use yet when I try this, I am not given the option to add a gift card. If I try to make a payment, I am told my bank will be debited immediately.

Can somebody please look into this and reach out?  Searching the forums, it is clear that this happens a lot (entering the subject line raises many similar posts like this one: https://community.verizon.com/t5/Bring-your-own-device/How-to-claim-or-use-200-Verizon-gift-cards/td...
