I called on April 5th and tried to move my service to my new address, due to my ex of 11 years cheating on me and throwing me out of the house. I was told based on my location, that service was not available here. Based on that, my service would be cancelled and that I would receive no additional charges. I believe the gentleman I spoke with was named Jose(he was very nice). After being on the phone for nearly 20 minutes I was told I was being transferred to another person to close out my account. I was then hung up on and heard nothing else, so I figured it was taken care of(I did not have time to call back that day, due to taking my Type 1 diabetic son to his doctors appt which was an hour drive away). I disconnected my equipment and hadn't used it since then. I then started getting more monthly charges. I called in to ask why and they told me that they never received a phone call from me to move/cancel my service(even though they state the call may be recorded and I have the call log info stating otherwise). Not only did they refuse to help me, but they then charged me a cancellation fee and kept months of charges on the bill when the service was clearly not being used(I know you guys have the ability to see if equipment or services are being used or not). My account was sent to a collection agency and now I can't even speak to a rep/supervisor from Verizon about it. Worst customer service ever!! I will make sure to NOT reccomend this company to anyone. I am also in the process of trying to get everyone I know to switch companies, due to my terrible experience.
