Charged for a phone I returned and service disconnected.

I see that many people have this same issue. We were charged for two phones that we returned. Verizon removed the charge for one phone but left the other. I called (because my bill was due and was $1400). They said it would be removed, instructed me to turn-off my autopayment. I did and waited for the device payment to be removed. It was not and my service was disrupted. NOW, I can't even get anyone on the line without paying the past due of $1300. I have now spent hours on the phone trying to get my service restored. They literally won't do anything until I pay $1300.

Like so many people with this EXACT same issue, I now have to go get another cell phone provider OR be forced--literally by extortion--to pay $1100 for a device that I returned.

I hope you didn't ship the 2 returns back in one package, because I've heard of devices being lost in the shuffle when that happens.  Only one device will be tied to the tracking number of the package.

We did not. We shipped them from a Verizon corporate store with two different tracking numbers.

Based on a suggestion from a DM, I have submitted a complaint to the BBB. Verizon will apparently ignore this despite me having tracking numbers traced to their location.

It's certainly important that you have an accurate bill, especially when there are two returns involved, jdscranton. I am here to help get this resolved and your service restored. Please be on the lookout for a private message from us for assitance.
