Charges not as agreed

Today I switched my phone service from business to personal. The rep quoted $65 per line for unlimited everything. When I checked on the My Verizon app, there is a (surprise!) "One-time charge" of $48.23 per line scheduled for my next bill.

My Fios account, which I've had for many months, will be closed tomorrow.  My mobile numbers will be moved to another carrier as these undisclosed charges are inexcusable. I've had these same numbers with Verizon for YEARS.  Now, I can't trust Verizon in the least.

Oh, no! We are stunned to read about your recent experience. The last thing we want is for you to have a negative impression of us. Our goal is to offer the support you need. Since you mentioned Verizon Fios, we want to be on the same page of the book to avoid getting lost in the story. Are you making reference to Verizon Wireless cellular service or your Verizon Fios residential account?

The $48.23 charge (x2) is for new service  on my mobile devices that were previously under my business account and have had them for years. I switched to a personal account due to the closing of the business after my partner passed away.

I have had Fios home Internet for many months.

I can certainly understand the confusion with the unexpected charges on your wireless bill, AutmnBorn. We can certainly help with this and take a look to see what happened. In my experience, if those lines moved in the middle of a billing period, they may just be one-time pro-rated charges for the month that they were moved in, since we bill a month in advance, and would be included with the normal monthly bill. Please be on the lookout for a private message from us so we can take a closer look into this.
