Collections notice on my credit report and no one a Verizon has a clue what is for

I regularly review my credit score , and was curious to find it had dropped 140 points after years of immaculate history. The culprit , a collections notice from Verizon. I spent 2.5 hours on the phone today going in circles with their transfers . Result, no one can tell me what the charge is/was for and I have no clue , my account has been on auto draft since inception โ€ฆsuper frustrated and searching for ideas on getting this removed and finding out what it even is . Verizon support on this topic is a joke . Can anyone advise on how to get this even identified and rectified ?

Hi @Jeffsmit1 ,

As this is a peer to peer support forum, you will need to contact Verizon directly for assistance. We have sent you a private message with contact information for a dedicated specialist who is able to help resolve your issue.

Hoping some one in the Peer - Peer - can't point me  to a department who has answers . no one else can
