Verizon Wireless put a collections report on my credit for 600, but I don't have a Verizon Wireless account.I haven't had one for well over a year and even then I only used it for Home Internet, 600$ is a whole year's worth of that. I tried disputing it with Experian, but I've heard nothing. I sent a debt validation letter, and have not received any response. I have no idea if this is fraud or if it's a mistake. I talked with Verizon Support 6 times and each time they said that they don't see an account with my name on it, the account number on the "bill" isn't connected to me, and that I should ignore it, it might be an error. Well, my credit score plummeted 200 points (?!) and now I cannot rent an apartment. I'm about to graduate college and I can't even get a new place because of a random collections that I never even heard about, no calls, no emails, no letters, I just "missed the payment," and lost my good credit score. Who should I talk to about this? As all my previous attempts haven't yielded results, I'm hoping this Community forum is still active and I can get support here. Thank you.
