Hello! I was curious about my current bundle. When I saw the Quantum ads, I immediately wanted that in my bundle, but realized that I signed for a 2yr contract. I was thinking, that if I cancel my current bundle, and update to a newer bundle before the 2yrs are over, will I be needing to pay the early termination fee? Remember, I guarantee I'll stay with Verizon! ( I'll just be getting a MORE better package.)

Just go to your account and view upgrades - - you might even see some other features you'd like...

You can upgrade/downgrade your account at anytime if you go to the upgrade center on their website. Your prices will change for the changes you make and a new contract if applicable will kick in effect. Your bill due date will also stay the same. The only way you would be charged an early termination fee is if you cancelled any of the services you have meaning if you have tv, internet, and phone and cancelled 1 or all then you would get charged a fee. As long as you keep the services active and just change or upgrade them then you will be fine.

I ordered the triple play bundle for a 2 yr term on 6/15/12  w/ ultimate HD and 35/35; that was the highest internet speed offered for the triple play packages.  It was to replace my Time Warner Cable package w/ 25 Mbps download speed, and part of the motivation for the change was needing higher speed internet.  A couple days after I ordered the triple play, the Quantum announcements came out.  On 6/22, my triple play w/ 35/35 was installed.  Although my wired connection is at least 35 download, my wifi connection (which is normally all I use) varies from 6-22 Mbps download (according to speedtest.net/verizon) and messing with the settings as suggested by tech support has not helped (even sitting right next to the router).  Thus my new "faster" internet connection winds up being slower than my old TWC service, which really was 25 Mbps even for wifi, and which I still have not cancelled in case I need to go back.  What are my options, short of taking advantage of the 30 day cancellation policy?  I telecommute and need something faster than 25 Mbps, not something slower, and using the one wired computer is not an option.  Also, short of cancelling the triple play service altogether and just using TWC, I would really not like to lose the $500 pre-paid Visa card that was part of the package.

michs have you tried optimzing your pc with the fios optimizer? I'd take it yes since you said you ran through tech support. If not I'd try it.

My wireless laptop was running slow, but as soon as I ran the optimizer it brought my speeds up to what they should be.

Between routers, where its located, and your network card it could be anything really.

The optimizer should fix it though.
