I opened my Verizon bill a couple days ago to see a charge for the UFC fight on October 6th, 2018. I immediately contacted Verizon to question this charge, and was advised that not only ordered from one of my remotes, but also watched for 46 minutes. They also claim that a confirmation email was sent to my email address at 1:33. After doing a thorough search of my email box, the only email I found from that date and time from Verizon, was soliciting buying the UFC fight in question. There has been NO notification anywhere prior to my paper bill that this purchase was supposedly authorized. After explaining in detail that not only was I leaving early the next morning for a trip and was packing for several hours and then immediately went to sleep, but I also brought to their attention my cable history. In the 8 years of service with Verizon, I have NEVER ordered and paid for any additional programs/channels (no movies, movie channels, and definetely not sports events). The customer service agent just kept repeating over and over that it was a "valid charge," and not only was not willing to assist me, but instead tried to upsell me a movie channel package! At that time I requested to speak with a supervisor, who was friendly but also kept repeating that the charge was valid and said they would only meet me "half way" with a partial credit. I am at a loss for words because at this point it is my word against theirs. If the charge is not completely reversed, I will be cancelling my service all together. Has anyone encountered a similar experience, or possibly have any advice in how to get this escalated properly? Thank you.
