I have been a Verizon customer for 25 years...unheard of I know. Well, in May of this year I received information about an upgrade. The promotion was $1000 towards the purchase of Samsun Galaxy S24Ultra, no matter the condition of my trade-in. From the very beginning, this transaction was HORRIFIC!! UPS damaged the first shipment. Verizon wanted to hold my up front payment of the taxes and fees until the phone was returned by UPS. Ok, but after 2 weeks I called and complained. Then they refunded my money. I placed a new order, picked the phone up in a Verizon corporate store and have been in hades ever since. The $1000 promotional credit was never credited to my account...only $400! So, for the last 4+ months I have been overpaying!!! I have had several 1 hr + conversations with customer service to get the situation rectified! This is an EPIC fail Verizon. If my account isn't straightened out, and I'm not billed properly next month...I'm gone. You can kick rocks!

I don't know the exact details of the S24 deal, but could it be that the promotion was for up to $1000 for a trade-in? The final value of a trade-in is determined by whomever does the assessment of the traded-in device at the warehouse. I'm guessing your trade-in was valued at $400.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
