A few months ago I purchased two Verizon gift cards, each worth $200 when I received them in the mail only one was activated after numerous attempts through chat boxes being passed around to multiple people and explaining the same thing over and over again, it has not been resolved. I have paid $400 and only received $200 that actually worked. Is there a place to file a dispute or claim, as I have gotten nowhere with their customer service supportโฆ. I did find something online on doing a formal notice of dispute, but Iโm not sure if thatโs the route I should takeโฆ. how do I have known that I wouldโve been cheated out of a $200 purchase I wouldโve never purchased them online.

Sorry to hear one of the gift cards won't work. Is it possible the non-working one is a prepaid refill card, or one for Visible by Verizon, or Total by Verizon (now Total Wireless)? If it's any of these - I'm assuming you or the person you're gifting the cards to is postpaid - then that card won't work.
Depending on where you purchased the card, if it's a 3rd party retailer, can you ask them for a refund?
I did read about this issue some months ago and someone did eventually manage to connect to an agent who was able to process a refund of a non-working gift card, so other than disputing the charges with your bank, keep trying with contacting Verizon. Some have had luck connecting with Verizon agents elsewhere on other social media platforms, so if no one representing the company private messages you here, you could try the well-known social media sites as all large companies are on those.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Thank you so much for bringing your gift card concerns to our attention. As consumers ourselves we understand the importance in getting this resolved. We will be sending a Private Message so we can pull your account to open an investigation.
