How Can I Contact an Actual Customer Support Human?

I doubt this will accomplish anything, but since I've found literally no other way to contact Customer Support that actually works, I'll give it a go.
Last year I signed up for 5G home internet through Verizon. I told them I would be moving soon, but they assured me I’d be able to take it with me. I also received a VR headset for signing up. Lo and behold, after I moved a mere 2 miles, Verizon’s internet was no longer available and I had to cancel my contract. I was never asked to return the headset nor was I ever given an option to, and when I attempted to do it on my own I couldn’t because my account had been closed. Now, months later, I’ve received a bill for $299.99 for a headset I didn’t really want, that I should have been able to keep if Verizon had been available at my new home, and that I was never given an opportunity to return. I never opened it and would be happy to send it back. How can I resolve this?
There’s no way to email Verizon customer service. I went to a brick-and-mortar Verizon store and they refused to help me. When I called Billing, the automated menus couldn’t solve my problem and I was told I would have to pay $10 to talk to a customer service rep, which is completely unacceptable. When I went to the website and tried the automated chat, it required me to sign in, but once I did the chat window closed and wouldn’t reopen. On the page to contact customer support I next clicked “Create a Support Request” and got an error message. I clicked “Schedule a Call” and the website froze on a load screen. So, I'm left with this and Facebook Messenger, and I'm guessing both are "staffed" by AI chatbots.
It’s like Verizon is going out of their way to be terrible. I have literally no way to contact them to resolve this issue, so until they give me one, I won’t be paying this bill.

I've got a strong suspicion the VR headset was a promotion tied to a contract, where you needed to keep the home internet service for some period of time. When you moved, it broke the contract, which means you then must pay for the otherwise free device. If the headset is brand-new and still in the box, you could sell it to someone and use that to pay the bill. It's unfortunate that the Verizon Home Internet service wasn't available just a couple miles down the road though.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
