Ineligible for bank payment

Ive been a verizon customer for years. Never missed a payment and always been on time. On August i lost my job and wasnt able to make a payment on time. HOWEVER i called verizon on time and explain my situation and we came to an agreement to pay both months on September in which i did. I notice my autopay was off and was trying to reapply it but couldnโ€™t.

So i called again and explained whats going on, the customer representative Hazel told me not to worry we will get it situated, and that they will refuit the claim that locked me account, that it will take 3-5 business days. I called again because Hazel said that she will call back at 5pm yesterday (sept 26)and never did. I called again only this time i was being told something different. I am ineligible because of my payment, again i take full responsibility on that, but explained i lost my job. Their response was..    

 THEIR computer automatically generates the decision AND that theres nothing they can do about it for SIX MONTH! I miss ONE payment and still payed it off, and this is what i get being a loyal customer?! Something needs to be done with their GREED. Shame on you verizon

Sure wish there could be something like a "3 strikes" provision put into place, so those who had a random event don't get automatically disenrolled from autopay for 6 months nonnegotiable.  I can understand not giving known bad credit risks chances over and over, but life throws curveballs at all of us sometimes.

As someone who has been in your shoes more than once in my life, I wish you the best of luck in finding another job soon.  Unemployment is up there in the stress hall of fame.

Hi thank you for your response, yes life tend to throw us curveballs, and unfortunately these billion dollar companies dont understand that. Thats how you lose loyal customers. As far as my situation, i found another job right away, i think that having these so called โ€œAIโ€ computer generated machines to decide who gets denied or not. Its sad
