Issues transferring line from one account to another account.

My husband and I have been under my mom's phone plan for more than 5 years and we are finally wanting to branch out into our own plan so I can become the primary owner. I worked with an agent who was able to get that transfer pending, but for it to be completed, I would need to have my mom's approval via email... got the email, now inputting the request number and pin to transfer an existing line, all that was needed was to accept the transfer! Of course, an issue arises! It prompts a box at the top that says "You are attempting to assume a line(s) from an account that has the same SSN/tax ID as the new account. Lines can only be transferred to an account with a different SSN/tax ID." I tried numerous ways to get this to go away, but it will not allow me to. This will be my first time having my own plan at Verizon and not being under someone else's. Has anyone gone through this before and how was it resolved? Thanks.

I was having issues with a transfer earlier this week. I did mine over the phone with an agent. I suggest calling customer care and requesting to speak with a tier 2 specialist. From my understanding, they are able to work around certain error codes better than a tier 1. Hope that helps!

Dealing with this problem right now, and talked to a customer service agent and transfer service department. They said that itโs a system issue thatโs happening right now, but I guess itโs an issue for over a year.
