My family is experiencing issues getting our loyalty discount on our plan. Verizon informed us we had a loyalty discount and then suddenly removed it from our account without warning. We had this discount for quite some time and it suddenly vanished without making any changes to our account or plan….
When we called the agents about eligibility, we are told that we are still eligible but the computer system will not allow the agent to put the reoccurring discount back on the bill. They even state they are not sure why the discount was removed.
This has lead to us calling Verizon every month to receive the discount on our bill we were promised. We were told none of our account changes would impact our discount. I have had multiple agents tell me I need to call each month to receive the discount which is time consuming.
Verizon was supposed to follow up on a case number months ago to resolve this issue, and yet we have not received one call back.
Interesting note**The months we did not receive the discount would pay enough to cover our bill for an entire billing cycle or more.***
We will continue to call Verizon helpline each month and request the discount promised to our family. Maybe Verizon will get this resolved and call us back?

I am sorry the delay, the customer representative told me that the discount expired, and that they had to validate again and see if I qualify. I am sure that my account losing the discount was triggered after I was troubleshooting not receiving calls with my number, that I turned off and back on again something related to my services, but of course I never turned off the discount or desired to lose it. I have tried to activate other discounts like corporate or student but my account doesn’t qualify for those discounts because are unlimited. I would like to restore my loyalty discount because my account have not changed and its even older now,. thank you in advance for any help.

The same thing happened to me, my discount was removed and now the agent and supervisor I spoke said I have to call back on July 26 when my bill generates. Seems they tell this to everyone and give the run around. I hope Verizon will rectify this or I will go elsewhere. I’ve Been a customer for 16 years.

Did you have the loyalty discount previously? If yes, how much was it? Has there been a recent change to your account that caused the discount to fall off? A new employee discount? Anything change?

Hello Natasha yes I’ve been a Verizon loyal customer for 4years now and had a $40 discount for that. Recently upon talking to a customer service representative through the phone they suggested I could save more by adding a teacher discount. I qualified for the teacher discount but they removed my loyal customer $40 discount. As you can see if he would have been clear that they weren’t able to stack I would have never chosen a $25 discount over my $40 loyal customer discount. I’ve been calling every month regarding this issue and every month they tell me is being looked at and they adjust my bill but have not been given a permanent solution. I love Verizon but these month having to call nonstop have been so stressful.

They have been doing this to me for about. Year I missed most of them cause I didn’t go and claim the discount given it takes time to chat with them monthly just got off the chat with them the rep was saying oh well your eligible for 2$ off a line and with the price increase coming it doesn’t make a difference and it’s less than a discount I got before I’m getting sick of Verizon when I was just asking about the discount he was dodging my questions giving me indirect answers on what I would receive eventually they said I’d get the 20$ loyalty discount again I’d ask how long no direct answer seems like they’re trying to give you the run around I’ll be surprised if I receive the monthly 20$ discount again like I was told the way the rep was answering it seems very unlikely I still haven’t received the credit I was told they approved🤦🏽
