Loyalty discount

I’ve been a continuous Verizon customer since 1998 when they purchased my previous carrier. Seven devices, $325+/mo bill. In September, at Verizon’s urging I was moved to a different rate plan and was promised a $3/ line “loyalty discount” in addition to the direct debit discount I already receive. When it did not appear on my estimated bill as I was signing up, the rep said it would”within 48 hours” when marketing processed it. Well, of course, it didn’t appear, and in my subsequent calls the timeframe continuously changed to “two weeks” , “a while”, “full billing cycle”, you get it. In October, they gave me a one time $3/ line discount until the loyalty discount was enrolled in November. Didn’t happen. In the past several months I’ve called, chatted and all I have to show for it is the worlds longest chat transcript filled with my endless recounting of the situation with Verizon’s excessively syrupy, say nothing do nothing responses. In reality, a $3 month per line discount is a de minimis part of my bill, but I’m really set off by the intentionally deceptive business practice of promising an incentive to get you to switch with clearly NO INTENTION of delivering. In that spirit, I’m going to do my best to get the governing board of my employer to take notice of Verizon’s exclusive contract for employee phones, which has flown beneath the radar for years.

First and foremost we appreciate your loyalty sine 1998, and I am sorry to learn that your recent experience with us has not reciprocated this, Lks300. I know how important my discounts are when shopping for a device or looking at a new plan, and I want to make sure we can help find a resolution here. Since we will need account access to help, please be on the lookout for a private message from me.

Someone replied to me and committed to get back to me by Dec 20. Crickets. I’d get less angry if you just ignored me and stopped with the empty promises.

Similar issue here. Been Verizon customers for a very long time. Have Fios in my home. My bill has increased over $40 a month for wireless since the beginning of the year. I call and the person tries to sell me upgrades. Ridiculous that a $5 discount came off of EACH LINE for autopay and my devices are almost 3 years old (almost paid off). I’ll be looking elsewhere for service after this. The practices of this company are utterly unconscionable.
