Mobile + Home error - Looks like something went wrong with your discount....

Every time I attempt to enroll,  which is daily, whether on the My Verizon app, or online, I get the error: "Looks like something went wrong with your discount.  Please call customer service at 1-800-837-4966".  I've had Mobile (4 lines) with Unlimited & Fios for years. When I upgraded my internet speed to 1 GB about 2 months ago, I had the Level 2 discount & should've gone to Level 3, but Mobile + Home disappeared altogether. I've been calling weekly now for over 2 months, have multiple incident numbers for both Mobile & Fios, am always told that my issue will be "escalated", yet I STILL cannot join!!  I am losing $50 a month ($10 for each line, plus $10 for Fios)! This is BEYOND FRUSTRATING!

I have the same exact issue.  It all started when they add NFL ticket to my account and did not tell me this would break my discount since I was on a grandfathered plan.  Then I called to get it fixed and they said it can only be reapplied if I switch to Mix + Match.  So I did and canceled my TV service and they said this would fix it.  Of course it didn't and now I've had dozens of calls w/ VZW and Fios and escalations and tickets and still no resolution.  Supervisors promised they would call me back w/ a resolution and not a single call.  Unbelievable how unprofessional this company has become.  I've been w/ VZW for over 20 years and now looking to leave for the first time since I'm losing about $80/mo from not having the discount back on my account.

I am in the same boat. It has been 5 months and I have spent 100+ hours on the phone with 100 different reps.  It is very frustrating as all of them promise to resolve it and then we are in a loop.

How do I get a 'private message' which hopefully leads to resolving this problem?  I also have spent months trying to get this taken care of, 10+ hours on the phone, and even in person in the store to try and get this same issue taken care of.  It is $50 per month for me too.  Please help!

To all: Why Verizon isn't more transparent with telling us customers that discounts and promotions are not "stackable", and changing your service plan is often like "starting over" (without any new customer offers because you are not a new customer) so you're at risk for losing grandfathered discounts, etc. - I don't get it either, but it is what it is from what I've read in these forums.

Verizon: It's not just bringing in new customers which counts, but keeping your long-term ones is important too.  If upgrading one's service plan means losing out on older discounts or completely losing a legacy plan because said legacy plan no longer exists, be upfront about it.  Informed customers are happier customers, and even if some won't go for a newer, costlier plan because of it, must surely be better to keep a loyal customer than to alienate them into leaving?
