Money taken for bill; not credited to Verizon account

Verizon took money for payment and did not credit our account. Then they send us a message that we did not pay our bill. Tried to "chat" on-line (since Verizon does not believe in email). Website still says hours go until 7:00 p.m. EDT. Since "Chat" would not work, I called their customer service number and found out they reduced their hours to 8 - 5. Customer service gets 0 stars so far. No email / reduced hours / info not updated on website. Maybe tomorrow contact can be made.

This is an update. Was able to reach customer service rep with less than 2 minutes of wait time on the phone today. The rep was very competent (and pleasant). By the end of the day, account updated to show bill paid. Thanks. Now I'm happy! 🙂
