My monthly rate & gift card

I got an offer for another internet service provider for $25 per month internet. I tried to cancel my account and they kept me on hold while they pulled together a "better offer", which ended up being ~$80 per month. I politely declined and was promised a competitive rate, lower than my current.

Many months later, and many attempts to be billed at the rate offered to me, I'm still being billed at my original rate.

Customer service reps say they cannot reference or review my previous contacts with Verizon on this issue.

Insult to Injury: they offered me a $200 gift card, which has since disappeared. I'm guessing I didn't "redeem" it in time, which seems like a crude trick for the company to avoid actually following through with granting the offer they, in bad faith, offered.

Will be bringing my complaint to the utility commission shortly. not ok.

Always request for a view together document that shows the breakdown of your plan to give you the confidence of what exactly you are paying for. 

The gift card has to be registered before it expires. You should receive an email that says it's time to claim your offer. After you successfully register, you will receive another email that contains the GC number and PIN.
