Non Credit for returned/received device

This has never happened before with a phone return/trade-in.  I immediately shipped my phone back with the return label they sent for my old phone after I received my new one.  Now after almost a month and mind you this is after customer service confirmed it was received weeks ago, I am now getting billed $500 for not returning my device.  I actually sent my husband's old phone back a day after mine and his line is showing the credit.  Was on the phone with customer service for almost an hour just for them to tell me I have to wait for a ticket to be processed.  Customer service just seemed weird talking about the return even after I asked a few times, "You show it was received correct? "  "Yes, we show it was received."  And then I had been asked, "Did customer service show it was damaged when they confirmed receipt?"  Well shouldn't you show on your side if that was the case, and if it was why was I not notified?

I don't know how many private messages I have since been sent and I reply to and then nothing.  Then I get another private message.  This is crazy.
