Hello, my account was sent to collections around 2019 wrongfully. I was a happy customer with Verizon for almost 2 years but when my time in the military was up and I went home, I did not have service in my home town.. I chatted with customer service about it pleading with him for a solution, he then came back with great news stating I could turn in the phone at a corporate location with no cost to me! So that it exactly what I did. I took screenshots of our conversation for proof, took of picture of the return box with the tracking number at the corporate office. Some months later I received a bill from Verizon stating I owed them over $1200. That has since been sent to collections and I am not going to pay it since it was wrongfully placed. What can be done about this? It is hurting my credit terribly.

Oh, no! Mch76849, dealing with service issues can be frustrating, especially if your account went to collections.
