Hello everyone,
I wanted to share my experience with Verizon regarding my recent switch to their internet and phone services. I initially signed up through a salesperson who presented a promotion: $40 internet and the option to trade in my newer Apple phones for new ones at no additional charge. It seemed like a fantastic deal that would save me money.
However, from day one, I encountered numerous problems. I struggled to get my phones switched over, and my salesman was unresponsive to my calls. Unfortunately, the Verizon store I visited refused to assist me since I didn't purchase the phones there. I spent hours on the phone with tech support, who assured me everything would be resolved overnight—but that was not the case. It took several days just to get the phones activated, and as someone who has been in business for 30 years, not having a phone was a significant disruption.
Given the lack of support from my salesperson and the tech team, I felt unable to manage the internet setup myself due to my limited technical knowledge. I also faced challenges returning the routers and phones, requiring multiple calls for resolution. Each month, I have found myself reaching out about my bill, only to discover charges for services I never used.
Most recently, I was informed by a representative that I would still be responsible for months of internet bills because I hadn’t called to address billing issues earlier, despite returning the routers and not using them. I'm also being charged for the phones that were part of the trade-in deal.
Instead of enjoying savings, I'm now paying three times what I used to. I wanted to bring this to the community’s attention, as I feel quite disappointed with my experience. If anyone has advice on how to navigate this or similar situations, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your time.
