Verizon mixed up internet router number with my Paper Free Billing SMS number:
Back in November I subscribed to Verizon 5G Home Internet and registered for Paper Free and Auto Pay to receive discount. Got discount bill of $45. However in Dec I received letter that my Paper Free billing phone number cannot receive text messages. and your discount will not be available.
I logged into my account and see the Billing SMS phone number is the same as 5G Internet Router number. I have tried multiple times to update.
Contacted an online Verizon agent and requested to change SMS phone number to my cell phone number. Instead the agent change 5G Internet router number to a new one and I lost internet at that moment and lost contact with online agent. Now 5 G internet router has new router number and I got bigger bill next month of total $95 for next month.
I immediately call customer service to make sure the sms paperfree billing is changed to my working phone number. The agent said she cannot fix the problem. Advise me to drop Verizon and going back to Cox.
It seems like Verizon has issues in billing system. Every month I have to login to reactivate Paper Free Billing to receive $10 discount 🙂
