Payment due for unused line- cannot add line to online account

I have a payment due for an unused line with no number added to it. I want to know if it can be cancelled, but I'm willing to pay so it doesn't affect my credit and I will cancel service afterward. However, when i try to add my account number to my profile, the continue button cannot be clicked. https://prnt.sc/Pdrsh3WL0xKE

Hey harrisonebert. We definitely want to help with any billing and account concerns that you may have. It looks like we have two separate issues we're dealing with here, does that sound correct? Can you elaborate more on the unused line?

Correct, two issues, but I don't need or want service. I tried to activate my mother's old phone with verizon and everything went through with billing but never activated the phone. I got a different phone with a different company and I forgot about this whole verizon thing. The first issue i have is that now I have a letter from verizon on 6/6 saying they are going to send the payment to a collection agency and that they will report negatively on me to credit bureaus. If removing this payment would be way more difficult then I would just like to pay the $98. The second issue is only applicable if you cannot make the payment go away. It is that when attempting to pay the bill, I get stuck when trying to add the account number to my verizon profile
