Payment processing issue

Dear Verizon Visa-

I have always paid my payment via bill payment with my bank.  The bank states that they must cut a check to Synchrony because they do not accept their electronic payments. My last 2 payments have been "late" , even though I had them mailed 20 days before their due date.  No first class letter service from 2 major cities takes over 7 days to arrive. Why the huge delay in processing? I will have to cancel my card because of this issue.

I'd call the 800 number on the back of the credit card and ask them why your electronic payments aren't being accepted.  Maybe the address you're mailing checks to isn't the right one and someone is having to forward the mail on after having to figure out where it's actually supposed to go?  I doubt Verizon is in control of the Visa cards with the Verizon name on them; it's more likely they are partnering with someone else.

I have had to call every month for the past 4 months. They admit they received the check but they had not processed it. They told me it could take 7-8 business days to process it. That is absolutely unacceptable. They will not accept electronic payments from the bank.

I almost always made payments using my Visa card. But this one time I was waiting for a new Visa debit card I requested that BOA bill pay send a payment for $150 on October 18, 2024.  They sent the payment to Verizon and recently a confirmation number from the payment. But it never showed on my payment history due to my failure to edit and update my new account number. Same name same address but the payment was sent to my old account number. I’ve called BOA and spoke to them. They gave me the confirmation number received from Verizon. I’ve called Verizon at least 10 times minimum by now.. They said they would fix the problem in a couple of hours the first time. They’ve still not resolved the issue. They’re filled out at least 4 different slips to have the problem investigated. I’ve filled out the form with information they requested and still nothing. For being a so called valued customer for 14 years it sure doesn’t mean much. But they sure do send emails and text messages reminding you of a payment due or to nicely threaten to turn your phone off. They don’t care about the customer whatsoever.

Hi Eriv5,

This is definitely concerning; it shouldn't take our customers multiple inquiries to reach a resolution and I cannot apologize enough for your experience. I'll be sending you a Private Message shortly to collect more details on this issue.

I have very bad experience with Verizon Visa card as well. Each and every time I made a payment via bank account, it took almost 2 weeks to credit to my card. And I contacted them at least 3 times and they said it will be always like that. This makes the card basically useless.
