Pending order stuck, unable to configure or change account


I am a Verizon Fios customer and I am trying to explore options on my current service plan.  I am unable to configure anything on the Fios account modification webpage.  All of the options appear to be locked/frozen and at the top of the page a message is displayed which states:
"Your order is pending.
Thank you for placing your order. Your current plan will be updated in about 5 minutes, and you may then place any additional orders."

It has been in this status since September 2nd. I have tried contacting customer service via chat to no avail.  This is preventing me from exploring available account options, making any changes, or ordering equipment.

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please check your Private Messenger Inbox for a message from a Verizon Support agent. You can find your Inbox by clicking on your username at the top right corner of this page and then clicking the envelope icon that appears at the top of the menu. Please direct all correspondence concerning your issue to the agents who will be assisting you privately.
