Dspicer1, having your bill meet your current needs is important. I had a period of my life where I needed to watch costs, so I get it. The best thing is to review our current plans especially if your using an older one. Here's a link to our plans: https://www.verizon.com/plans/unlimited/

Along with our plans, there's many discounts based on profession avaiable: https://www.verizon.com/discounts/

If you're not using a newer plan, nor one of the applicable discounts I highly recommend checking those out. Additionally, if you haven't looked at it, we do have a number of Prepaid options. It's a bit of the best of both worlds, you keep that quality Verizon service but have some different price options and the ability to pay as you go. I've got a link to those here: http://vz.to/2bFLFX8

I think these options should help with getting you started. If you've got any other questions, let us know.

There were some good options given in the last post.  Thanks, John!  A word of caution however: If you are currently on some kind of deal where your phone or other device is tied into a service plan, you're essentially stuck on that service plan until you've received all the device credits Verizon is giving you, typically for a period of 36 months.  You can bail out earlier, but then you'll have to pay the remaining cost of the device right away.  In this case, I'd try to see if there are any add-ons or perks you can cancel, because the $10/month per perk can add up quickly.

The ACP program is going away, but I've heard Verizon is offering some other program to help, if you currently qualify for an ACP discount?
