Promo credits taking 1-2 billing cycles to appear

I recently traded in my iPhone for the new 15 Pro. The trade in credits are applied to my bill over 36 months (making my phone free) but it says it can take 1-2 billing cycles for the promo credits to appear on my bill. My question is, for my next 1-2 bills that will not have the promo credits applied yet, I assume I will have to pay the device payment. Will I ever get that portion credited back to me? Or does anyone know how that works?

Hello, Kellyshort5982, congrats on your new iPhone! When your trade-in promotion is added to your account, you will be reimbursed for any months missed. For instance, if it takes two months for the credit to be applied, you will receive two months of credits on that first bill. Please let us know if you have any additional questions about your trade-in.

I've been dealing with this since December 2022.  I have been promised twice in the past six months that my $800 credit would be applied. Most recently, on December 5, 2023 I was assured that an $800 credit would be applied to my account in the next 1-2 billing cycles. I just got my second bill since then and the credit still has not been applied. I wish I could say that I'm surprised but after over a year of this, I'm just angry.

I am beyond frustrated. In addition to not getting the promotion I've been owed for over 13 months, I feel like Verizon has also stolen my time. I have spent HOURS of time actively trying to get this promotion applied. FWIW - Verizon has repeatedly told me I  am due this promotion, so there's no question of that. It's just about applying it to my account.

I'm dealing with this same $800 rebate problem. The first person I talked to said they would look into the issue and get back within 10 days.

Later I called and the person told me 1) that the offer had expired before I ordered the phone (which the person taking my order never said) and then 2) that they never sent the text and that it must be a fake because their text messages always begin with a 10-digit phone number (demonstrably false).

Here is the text received on 13Apr2023:

900070002244 Hello from Verizon! We value you as a loyal customer & as a special thank you, we're offering you a FREE Samsung Galaxy S23 (128 GB) when you trade in your Galaxy S7 and upgrade. Even if it's damaged or broken - no plan change is required. Visit m.vzw.com/800LGS23 for your exclusive offer (data charges may apply). $800 trade-in/promo credit applied over 36 mos; 0% APR. Add'l terms & trade-in conditions apply. Reply "X" to stop msgs.

Note that there is no "limited time" wording, and this "fake message" tells me to visit Verizon. That's a strange phishing message!
