Removing Verizon Sales Maker Discount.

Hello, I am a Best Buy employee and I have been on/off the phone with reps all day, is there any way to remove the Sales Maker Discount from my account. I am trying to process an upgrade at work but our system is stating how we can't have access to my account. Because of said discount, I have reached out to Customer Care who transferred me to ECPDID, than they transferred me back to CC stating that this is all their doing, then the next agent from CC, stated that I needed to get ahold of Sales due to it being a Sales Discount. Please all I am trying to do is just remove this discount.

We're happy to shed some light on your concerns, martya01. Sales Makers from Apple, Best Buy, Target and Walmart enroll and revalidate their discount through their direct employer. For validation support, we do advise you reach out to your internal leadership or support team. In case this helps, revalidation is required every 6 months to maintain the Sales Maker discount. If you do not revalidate again, the discount will automatically be taken off. We hope this helps!

This is not it. It is a VERIZON discount and VERIZON needs to have a process on removal of this discount. The money off is nice, but the restrictions are absolutely absurd.

I do NOT understand why itโ€™s so hard for them to remove a discount. Iโ€™ve been dealing with the same thing for the past week. They need to find a solution, Iโ€™m tired of explaining myself to a new rep every single time.

Not of any help here, but I am having the same issue. I have spent the better part of the last 6 days trying to get this stupid discount off my account. Former BestBuy employee, haven't been an employee for 7 months. I've talked to no less than 12 reps and keep getting the same garbage responses you're getting. I cannot wrap my head around why it is so hard to REMOVE a discount, but please keep us posted if you make any progress. This is beyond frustrating and a testament to Verizon's inept customer service

I don't need to hear "Let's figure this out" .... I'm done explaining myself to rep after rep after rep. Figure it out, and then let us know what we need to do.

Lambo393, I know this has been a process for you and my apologies for that. We want to get you the answers that you deserve. Because there are account specifics we need to review, we need you to respond to the Private Note to proceed.

Was this ever resolved? I'm having the same issue, and having no luck. Customer service is horrible with verizon!

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience this feature is non-removable for the account since you are a third party employee. You might want to check with your employer to see if anything can be done on their end. Unfortunately this is out of our scope.

I was assured via Verizon and my old employer bestbuy when i left BACK IN DECEMBER 2022, that this discount would drop off after a failed revalidation. It did not obviously!

What kind of poor customer service is this! A short brush off, "not your problem" response----------------------------

Now i cant even buy a new phone or even remove this discount?!! A discount that i guess magically cant be removed from Verizon the ones that approved the discount in the first place?? Beyond this, it is to literally no ones benefit, because here i am wanting to upgrade a line and remove the discount (which would raise my bill significantly......)

All i want to do is upgrade a phone verizon...... Which i cant at bestbuy, a local Verizon store, or it seems pretty much at all

The issue has not been resolved, and I am unsure really, what is happening to my account, at the moment. I went to a Verizon "corporate" store, and the manager there was able to get in touch with a, account specialist. I was told they put a request to remove the Sales Maker account, but the specialist was very confusing to converse with.

More help and assistance/assurance would be very welcome.

I have been having the same issue and it is ridiculous. I wanted a new phone and camera for my friends wedding but I guess not. My re-validation ends in a day. I contacted and was in chat over an hour and they just canโ€™t remove the discount. I also quit Best Buy so I do not plan on re-validating.  really do not understand how they cannot just remove it. It has been such a hassle. I even tried to schedule a call back time and the app will not let me.

2024 (Almost 2025) and this issue still has not been resolved. I went into a Verizon Corporate store and they were not able to access my account due to the Sales Maker being applied from my previous employment at BestBuy. I proceed to just us their landline in store to contact Verizonโ€™s Call Center.

I was able to make a trade-in for my old phone and it would have to be managed as an In-Store pickup. I also requested the rep on the phone to remove the Sales Maker promo on my account (which they said they did). Turns out they did not and my trade was unable to be processed entirely. No ability to just give it to the store I was at, and no box received in the mail for trading it in.

Now I am stuck paying for the phone because it was never able to be traded in and I cannot remove the Sales Maker on my account. How ridiculous.

I need this removed now to trade in my phone and get a refund, this issue should not even exist it is so simple. Even funnier thing, I see people in this thread being told to go through the employer to remove it, but I am not even employed there anymore and haven't been for almost 2 years! Verizon fix this I canโ€™t even get account support to do the simplest things.
