Returned Defective Device but Verizon still charged me $500

We were advised by a Verizon support technician to return a defective device and they sent us a new one. Upon receiving the new device we used the provided box and returned the phone back to Verizon the following day. However, we received countless messages from Verizon saying if we do not return the device we will be charged $500. I checked my tracking # of when I sent the phone back and have PROOF that Verizon did indeed receive the phone back. We called customer service and got nowhere. When I discovered that my bill indeed has a added$500 charge on it we called and demanded a resolution. The Verizon tech confirmed that our returned phone is sitting in the warehouse of Verizon! She assured us that the charge will be removed. Well, a week later and it still hasnโt been removed. We have been with Verizon for 25 years and it has been a struggle staying with them, ESPECIALLY in the last couple of years. There is a noticeable difference in customer service. It is not a joy dealing with this company. We may have to go to a different carrier because weโve about had it with the run around we get from them. This company is getting rich off providing cell towers and cares nothing about their customers. I could go on and on with my frustration with this company but itโs not worth my time.
