Samsung Chromebook Promotion not showing up or working

I signed up for Verizon during their promotion for a Samsung chromebook or $200 towards a Samsung product after 65 days of "good standing" i.e. paying bills on time.  I received an email 5 days ago saying I can redeem my offer by logging into My Verizon or the app and clicking the "Redeem Samsung Offer Now".  I tried it via the website first but saw no such link to redeem the offer.  I did the same on the app, and same situation.  Thinking I must be missing something, I looked it up on google and it seems other people are having the same problem.  Trying to contact customer service is not only time-intensive but also often unhelpful.  These forums were the last option I had to try to find resolution to this issue... Very disappointed in a big company like Verizon using tactics akin to bait and switch shops to lure customers in.... Has anyone else had similar problems?
