Security Deposit not Refunded

I am deeply disappointed and  concerned that a duplicate deposit has not been refunded.

On July 23, I placed an order for Fios and paid a $100 deposit with my credit card (Order 1).

As I had not received any communication regarding the installation, I called the customer service center.

The representative canceled Order 1 and created a new order, requiring me to pay another $100 deposit (Order 2).

Although the internet service was successfully set up, as of August 23, the deposit from Order 1 has not been refunded.

Verizon’s FAQ states that if an order is canceled, the deposit will be refunded to the credit card within five business days.

However, this has not been the case, and it feels like I have been charged a meaningless deposit for a canceled order. The responses from the support center representatives have been vague, and I am concerned that the $100 will not be refunded.
