So here I am a current Verizon customer with Tv, Internet and phone and today I just received a bill from collections. I had no idea what it could be so I called verizon they couldn't tell me what it was for so I called the collection company they told me it was for a early cancellation. I cancelled the service because I wasn't happy with the channel lineup and how the channels were scrambled all over the place. I cancelled the service in the first month of service. As I remember you could cancel with no early cancellation fee if you cancel with in the time allotted. I cancelled sent the equipment back and boom 2 years later I get a collection bill remind you I'm a current Verizon customer...so for the audience how do you think I feel about Verizon when they tell me I have to dispute this charge with the collection agency..remind you I'm a current customer...This hasn't hit my credit report yet so I'm hoping Verizon do the right thing here...Cox high prices has forced me to like Verizon now...but it's hard to like them when they have me in collections while being a current customer...

You mean the worry free guarantee which is here.
https://www.verizon.com/home/fios-registration/
Towards the bottom.
the problem could be that Verizon considers the 30 days from their billing date. Or from the first day of service or worse yet if your service with equipment return was after the 30 days limit. Since early termination fees start at around $350 and yours was for much less than I would guess the 30 days was over that period.
i donโt blame you for being angry. Dispute it and make sure you have copies showing the date you cancelled, cite the 30 day worry free guarantee, show receipts or proof of equipment return. There are more effective ways of dealing with Verizon if you need further info just let me know.
