I switched to Verizon when they were offering promotions last summer. I chose them because they had a sales office in my neighborhood. Little did I know that all my issues are handled overseas by people who don’t have access to any system, nor offer any solutions. I spent over 10 phone calls over an hour each…all that ended with multiple holds for 45 minutes for a1 time account credit which usually showed up on my bill as a charge later on which would require an additional phone calls to customer service. If you can’t help, why put me on hold multiple hours for the same issue. I was told I can only receive a student discount if I have 2 lines or less, which contradicted what the salesperson and first 2-3 customer service reps told me. Basically, I give Verizon too much business? They offered to separate the lines but wanted another person’s social security number-there is no way I would subject anyone in my family into dealing with this. I’m just sad I left a perfectly good company, I’m going to to back to after paying off a “free” cell phone I got for leaving.
